In 2003 John Galliano sent models down the Dior runway in Kabuki-inspired makeup carrying bags covered in bondage straps and hardware. The Bondage collection was deliberately provocative and completely unforgettable. This is the larger shoulder version, rarer than the mini clutch that most people know, in white textured coated leather with white patent leather bondage strapping overlay, silver hardware and the Dior logo plaque at the centre. The interior is the metallic silver Dior Oblique jacquard lining that serious collectors recognise immediately. It is one of the most theatrical pieces Galliano ever made for the house and it has never stopped being relevant.

Condition

Good Vintage — gently used, with wear consistent with light wear.

What to know: some discolouration to the interior lining consistent with light gentle wear. Discolouring near zipper. Exterior coated leather, patent bondage straps and silver hardware all in great condition throughout.
