The Baguette is the bag that changed everything. Silvia Venturini Fendi designed it in 1997 as a direct response to the oversized minimalism that dominated the decade — small, tactile, made to be tucked under the arm. Then Carrie Bradshaw got mugged for one on national television, and it was over. This is the original size — the one that started it all — done in burnt orange wool and cashmere with leather trim and the FF logo buckle in dark chocolate. The colour alone stops you. It's the kind of piece that people who know, know.

Very Good — gently used, with wear consistent with age.

What to know: light scuffs on the leather strap and FF buckle trim; some tarnishing to the silver hardware; gentle rubbing to the wool surface. All consistent with careful use over time. Structure, closure and interior fully intact.

Very Good — Gently used. Light wear on straps, corners or interior only. Any imperfections are minor and clearly described. The sweet spot of vintage.

Good — Visibly loved. Character through fading, light scratches or small marks — all while remaining fully functional. Priced honestly to reflect condition.

Fair — Worn with life. Noticeable scuffs, tarnished hardware or surface marks. For the collector who appreciates a piece with a past, or wants a restoration project.
