The Bittersweet is one of the great underrated Celine pieces from the early 2000s, a generous, softly structured hobo in the most uncompromising shade of ruby red. The name alone tells you everything about the era. Silver hardware, ring detail at the handles, a dangling Celine logo pull at the zip. It's the kind of bag that does the work of an outfit on its own, rich colour, quality leather, nothing to prove. The Bittersweet has been quietly climbing on the resale market and the ruby leather version is the rarest colourway of the lot.
