John Galliano took the most sacred address in Paris fashion, 30 Avenue Montaigne and printed it like a NASCAR sponsorship. That was the Speedway collection, Fall/Winter 2001. Haute couture filtered through American motorsport and pit lane workwear. Provocative, precise, and completely unforgettable.

This is the Miss Diorella Saddle Pochette from that collection. The canvas is trompe l'oeil not actual denim but printed canvas engineered to replicate patchwork jeans with atelier-level precision. The embroidered racing badge reads "North Chris Dior Speedway — Montaigne Paris," finished with a row of silver studs along the upper seam. The pochette format was produced in far smaller quantities than the full Saddle from the same run. This specific patch variant is the rarer of the two Diorella versions. People who know Galliano's Dior know exactly what this is.
