The Boogie made its debut in 2002, a true relic of the early aughts, designed during Michael Kors' tenure at Celine. The Boogie lives in a chic impossible limbo, too small for a laptop, too big for black tie. Killer with a luxurious riskiness. In patent orange it's even more so. This colour is the whole point, burnt, vivid, impossible to ignore. The Celine logo plate in silver on the front pocket, the chain detail hanging at the side, rolled top handles. It had a list of celebrity fans including Jessica Simpson, Madonna and Nicky Hilton. It never got the recognition it deserved. The people who know, know.

What to know: light marks to the handles consistent with gentle use; light staining to the interior. Exterior patent leather and hardware intact throughout.

Fair — Worn with life. Noticeable scuffs, tarnished hardware or surface marks. For the collector who appreciates a piece with a past, or wants a restoration project.
